IX. ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

Part of Lorenzo Domínguez's works could be classified and photographed due to the invaluable cooperation of people who admired and loved him. Many of these people did not know the artist, but became enthusiastic about his work.

We are grateful to Teresa Larrañaga Domínguez for carrying on, with intelligence and generosity, the task of identifying many of the artist's works in Chile. Luis Prato cooperated with her and had the courtesy of taking the corresponding photographs. We are deeply grateful to Elva and Roberto Vaccarone, for their efficient and affectionate research, as well as for the photographic documentation of the artist's works still in Tucumán. We would also like to thank the following people for their valuable help: in Santiago del Estero, Adelia Ferreyra and Florinda Gigena; in Resistencia, Chaco, Hilda Torres Varela; in Córdoba, María Cristina Schutte and Mr. and Mrs. Mario Carlos Rosso; in San Luis, Dr. Pascual Colavita; in Mendoza, Beatriz Capra, Maga Correas, Raquel Kaplán, the families of Víctor Delhez and Francisco Amengual, and Fernando, Susana and Sergio Hocevar; in Buenos Aires, Zezette Daneo de Llopis, Noemí Gil, Marta Inés Fernández and Horacio Mosquera; in Lausanne, Víctor Bossart; and many others who sent us photographs and information unavailable to us. We also thank those owners of works by Lorenzo Domínguez who opened their homes to us, thereby allowing the documentation of the artist's works.

We particularly want to express our gratitude to a person whose interest in Lorenzo Domínguez's art has been essential for the widespread knowledge of the artist's sculptures and drawings: Dr. Diego F. Pró. Professor Pró was the first one to classify Lorenzo Domínguez's works and has written comprehensive and fascinating books about the artist.
